The Google Boys at the G1 launch!
Google co-founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page, appeared on stage at the end of the G1 press conference showing their new gadget and sharing some experience.
Brin said the openness of the G1 reminded him of his earlier years developing/tinkering/hacking software on computers. Google co-founder mentioned the first G1 application he wrote that uses the phone’s accelerometer feature.
“The first application I ended up writing was one where you throw your phone up in the air and it measures how much time goes by until you catch it or it hits the floor!”, joked Brin.
On the other hand, Larry Page pointed to how quick you could do a search from the phone that has similar functionalities than a computer.
