Adobe wants online services like Photoshop Express or Premiere Express to be very big businesses. Like in the hundreds of million of dollars a year.
“They have to be big businesses and the challenge to start a product or a seed project at Adobe is that, are you going to be considered relevant?
And we think that yes, these are going to be 9 figures businesses. And I think they will also help us grow our consumer business dramatically. And that’s also a 9 figure business”, confirmed Geoff Baum, the director of Adobe’s Photoshop Express and Enterpreneur-in-Residence.
Talking at Infotrends’ Digital Imaging conference yesterday, the Adobe executive also unveiled that a Pro version of the photo editing online service is in the works and will be launch next year. Just like Adobe’s Photoshop editing software, Photoshop Express Pro will target creative professionals with features like colour management.
