
Facebook options suggest company is worth $4 billion
Remember the hubbub that ensured a year ago when Microsoft invested $250 million in Facebook, giving the company an implied valuation of $15 billion? The Internet company’s worth may be substantially less now.
According to a report on Silicon Alley Insider, Facebook employees have been receiving options with a strike price of about $9.27 a share, which suggests the social networking site is being valued at just over $4 billion.
