
AMD CFO, Bob Rivet bets on a 5% PC unit growth
AMD’s CFO just left the stage at the company’s financial analyst conference.
Bob Rivet first noted that AMD made money last quarter and that it will break-even in the current quarter with revenues at the level of $1.5 billion. “We made money, we liked it and we don’t want to go back”, he said.
Inspite a very low U.S. consumer confidence that is well below recession levels, Rivet expects a 4% to 5% unit growth in PC shipment next year the world GDP to reach 1.8%.
“0% to 5% is the world where we live in… But we plan to do better than the industry”, added the CFO.
