Facebook Ads Over 1 Million Users Per Day; Could Surpass MySpace In March 2009

Facebook today updated its site usage statistics.

The Palo Alto, Calif.- company has now more than 140 million active users (users who have returned to the site at least once in the last 30 days), up from 130 millions reported just a week ago.

Facebook is now adding 10 million active users a week or 1.4 million a day, 70 percent of whom are outside the U.S.

If Facebook continues at this rate – which might actually accelerate due to its viral nature – the social networking startup could well reach the 200 million active users mark by the end of January and surpass MySpace, which has over 200 million users today, in the first quarter of next year.
