The Flir Pathfinder lets a driver see five times farther than headlights alone. This according to the company that in late November cut the price of the system to $2,500 from as much as $4,500 – in time to show it off at the Consumer Electronics Show. The camera is mounted behind a vehicle’s front license plate and uses infrared technology to project a clear picture of the road ahead on a display screen inside the car.
