CES Innovation: Portable Video Conferencing System Uses Wi-Fi

An affordable video–conferencing conferencing system for the home now comes with Wi-Fi, making it portable. Viable’s VPad+ is targeted to the deaf, but the system is clear enough for broader use. It takes advantage of low-cost Voice over Internet technology and sells for $699. The new Wi-Fi version was displayed for the first time at the Consumer Electronics Show.
