If you’re looking for a flat screen TV or monitor, it’s perhaps a good time to buy it sooner rather than later; as prices should increase as early as the first quarter of 2009.
The CEO of the South Korea-based LG Display recently warned that he expects prices for LCD panels to have reached bottom. Furthermore adding that the demand for smaller screen sizes is healthy.
Viewsonic executives at the recent CES tradeshow also indicated that they are seeing LCD prices firming up for the larger screen sizes.
After a dismal year, LCD makers have significantly cut production in the past few months which is helping prices to inch up now.
This is pretty great technology and I think its only going to grow. I just hope it gets affordable soon. hokieg
