Think Gum, a Red Bull in a gum!
Would you buy memory enhancing chewing gum from a Stanford Biosciences PhD grad student?
Personally I wouldn’t, but then I don’t buy chewing gums made by large food company either!
However, Think Gum has been all the rage on the Stanford campus and this one-person start-up sold more than a million gums since last year when it became available; and is now going international for the second million!
What’s special about Think Gum is its content: 10 mg of caffeine per piece (and not 20 mg like it says on Think Gum’s web site), herbs (Gingko Biloba, Bacopa and Vinpocetine) to improve blood flood in the brain and help neurones fire faster, and rosemary and peppermint scents that supposedly increase alertness.
“Think Gum is a gum designed to improve concentration and memory,” explains founder Matt Davidson.”So chew while you’re studying, chew during your exam and you’ll recall more!”
Think Gum is also sugar-free but contains four types of sweeteners: sorbitol, sucralose, maltitol and xylitol.
