Solution 1: Unplug And Plug The Charger

Solution 2: Plug the Charger Without A Power Surge Protector

When you’re using a power surge protector, it will change the sinusoidal input of the power supply. For that, your laptop won’t be able to charge normally. Most devices are capable of identifying these irregularities and prevent supply from the power source to the battery. In order to stop this, you can try connecting your laptop directly to the socket without using any surge protector.

Solution 3: Discharge The Motherboard

  • A prompt will appear regarding confirmation. Click on OK to continue.
  • After the uninstallation, take out the battery and wait for about 10 seconds. Next, put the battery back to its place in the laptop.
  • Click ‘Scan for hardware changes’ from the Device Manager toolbar. Then, it will search your battery and reinstall the drivers in your system. When it’s over, restart your laptop and check if the battery is charging.

  • Open the Run box by pressing Windows key and R together.
